Inviting Jennifer Coolidge to present an award at the Golden Globes was always going to be a good idea.
The White Lotus star had viewers at home in stitches on Wednesday night (11 January) while presenting the award for Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Television Series when she had her very own 'Steve Harvey' moment.
After giving a hilarious speech about how nervous she was about messing up on the night, Jennifer made it to the very end before announcing: "And the Oscar goes to... Oh, no, it's the Golden Globes! The Golden Globe goes to..."

Thankfully, Jennifer Coolidge's blunder wasn't as awkward as Steve Harvey's famous 2015 Miss Universe mix-up, but it didn't go unnoticed by fans.
"Jennifer Coolidge accidentally saying 'and the Oscar goes to…' is already my favourite moment of the Golden Globes just end it now," tweeted one amused viewer.

Another raved: "Omg Jennifer Coolidge needs to host an awards show."
Jennifer really can do no wrong - even though she did predict something would go awry.
In her own speech, just moments before the mix-up she predicted that something would go wrong once she took to the stage.
The American Pie actor told the audience: "You know, somebody called Cara Bishop called me and said, 'Jennifer, we would like you to present at the Golden Globes this year.' And I said, 'Oh my God this is such an honour, thank you so much. Yes I would love to.' And I hung up on her.

"And then I thought about it for a little bit and I just had a complete anxiety attack and I got very, very nervous. And I thought, 'I'm not doing this.'
"So, I called Cara right back and I said, 'Cara I'm so touched that you'd want me to do this, but there's no way I'm gonna make it from behind the curtain all the way to the podium without breaking my skull... I just can't do it.'
"And then Cara... I think she was serious, she said, 'Jennifer, why don't you just wear a pair of crocs?'
"I said, are you kidding me? With my Dolce and Gabbana dress? All those crazy Italians will lose their minds!"

Thankfully no crocs were worn in the process of this blunder.
