Johnny Depp's multi-million dollar defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard, finally came to an end this week.
Yesterday (1 June), the jury unanimously found in favour of the Pirates of The Caribbean star.
They ruled that the op-ed Heard wrote in 2018 was in fact defamatory, and awarded Depp $15 million in damages.

But despite losing the case, the jury also awarded Heard $2 million in compensatory damages.
Heard was in attendance at the court in Virginia as the verdict was read out, while Depp was in the UK, where he is currently on tour with rock legend Jeff Beck.
Depp was in Newcastle when he heard the news, with staff at a pub revealing that he was enjoying a pint and some fish and chips at the time.
After the actor's meal was shared in the news, his army of fans couldn't get over his quintessentially British night out.

Writing on Twitter, one user simply said: "Legend."
Another chipped in: "Get Johnny Depp to the Binley mega chippy."
A third said: "'The 33-year-old added that Depp was having fish and chips, saying the 'food was amazing'. LOL."
While another added: "Hope Johnny Depp got him self down to Binley Mega chippy."

Janine Latchford, who manages the pub, spoke about what happened when the star arrived at her boozer.
Latchford told the Chronicle Live that Depp was keeping things low-key: "Johnny came in first, he was with some friends but he was quite cool. He didn’t want anyone to see who he was.
"We gave him a private space and he was the loveliest man I have ever seen in my life. My assistant is heavily pregnant and he was telling her how beautiful being a parent was. He was really down to earth, he was lovely.

"He was incredible. He gave me a hug and I told him that I loved him pretty much as soon as I saw him! He loved the artwork and he was asking questions about the Tyne Bridge. He said he’d never been to Newcastle before."
And if the pint and the fish and chips wasn't enough, Depp was also joined by a local musical hero: Sam Fender.
Fender took to his Instagram Stories tonight to share a selfie of him, Depp and Beck with a group of friends, writing: "Some serious heroes."

Rugby player Gary Spedding also took to Twitter to share a rather blurred shot of Depp shaking hands with a fan in another local pub, writing: "Met Johnny Depp in Bridge Tavern Newcastle just now... that was quite surreal."
