Jon Bernthal spent much of his 20s in New York City, appearing in over 30 off-Broadway plays, as he tried to make it as an actor. Bernthal eventually found fame and success in the early 2010s, starring in AMC’s The Walking Dead.
The 45 year old American actor has a Graduate Diploma from Harvard University and, after starring in the Zombie themed television series for two series, began appearing in major films in 2013. Bernthal played the role of drug dealing wheeler dealer Brad Bodnick in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013.
After working with Scorsese and acting alongside the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill, Bernthal has gone on to appear in blockbusters including the 2014 World War Two film Fury and the 2021 film King Richard. The latter of which was a widely praised film but was somewhat overshadowed by Will Smith’s infamous slap at the 94th Academy Awards.

Bernthal evidently has a high work rate. He appeared in five films that were released in 2021 and was both actor and executive producer for the film Sharp Stick which hit cinemas earlier this year.
