Kaleb Cooper - one of the stars of Clarkson’s Farm - has applied for permission to live on his own land.
He’s got a smallholding of around four acres not far from Diddly Squat Farm - owned by the aforementioned Jeremy Clarkson - and needs to either live there himself or have another worker live there full-time in order to look after the livestock.

It’s a tough job, rearing pigs, chickens, and calves.
At the minute, the 24-year-old has a 38-foot caravan at the plot, which is currently used as a bit of an office, but it’s got a bathroom and even some plants outside for a nice bit of decoration.
Now, he’s applied for retroactive planning permission from West Oxfordshire District Council, which - if it is granted - will last for two years as he gets his business off the ground.

That’s a fairly apt pun, given that he is a farmer and will be quite literally living off the land.
Clarkson has been in a well-publicised dispute with the local authorities near to Diddly Squat Farm of late.
It all started because of the popularity of the show, which brought loads and loads of people to a very sleepy part of Oxfordshire, not far from Chipping Norton.
He wanted to build an extra car park on the site for his farm shop, which has proven very popular, but that decision was denied.

Earlier on in June, that decision was overturned by the Planning Inspectorate.
The problem was that the lack of proper parking facilities was causing ‘traffic chaos’ in the area, with people ditching their cards on grass verges on already fairly narrow roads.
In the end, the Planning Inspector granted the permission to build a new car park, as well as for the changes to the use of the site.
Unfortunately, that inspector - Mr RJ Perrins - filed in his report that Clarkson’s new farming venture had become ‘a victim of its own success’ and was having an adverse impact on neighbours as a result.

He wrote: "I am in no doubt that this has caused a huge inconvenience for those who live near by.
"It was clear to me that many people visiting on the day of my final site visit had no regard to the proper use of the highway, with verges being further churned up and traffic having to stop, as visitors walked the middle of the road or cars manoeuvred into tight spaces.
"From that snapshot in time I am not surprised, as heard in evidence, that tensions have run high between some of those living locally and some visitors to the farm shop."

The council also closed down Clarkson’s restaurant at the site, a decision that he later appealed.
However, that decision wasn’t overturned and he’s been denied his Lowland Barn restaurant.
Kaleb, who has a two-year-old son with his girlfriend Tara, will be off on tour next year with his new book, which is called The World According to Kaleb.
That’s a nod to his mate at the farm, who had his own book series called The World According to Clarkson.
