Kate Bush has spoken out after one of her hits was used in the new series of Stranger Things.
'Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)' is truly iconic, and one of the best-loved anthems of the past 40 years. But the 1985 track was given a new lease of life recently when it appeared in an episode of the hit sci-fi horror.
As a result, it's shot back into the UK Top 40 for the first time in years, currently sitting at No. 8 thanks to streams and downloads.

And if that wasn't enough, at the time of writing (5 June) it sits at No.1 in Spotify's UK Top 50 and No. 4 in the streaming site's Global Top Songs charts.
Well, the woman behind the track has now released a statement, thanking the show for sparking renewed interest.
Writing on her website, Bush said: "You might’ve heard that the first part of the fantastic, gripping new series of Stranger Things has recently been released on Netflix.

"It features the song, 'Running Up That Hill', which is being given a whole new lease of life by the young fans who love the show - I love it too!
"Because of this, 'Running Up That Hill' is charting around the world and has entered the UK chart at No. 8.
"It’s all really exciting! Thanks very much to everyone who has supported the song.
"I wait with bated breath for the rest of the series in July."

The entry marks the song's third appearance in the UK Top 10 following its first comeback a decade ago, when it was used in the closing ceremony of the Olympics.
And since hearing it again, fans have been sharing the love for Bush online.
One user wrote: "RUNNING UP THAT HILL ON REPEAT #StrangerThings4."

Another commented: "No spoilers but that moment at the end of episode 4 with max and the usage of kate bush's running up that hill was f*cking glorious. one of the best scenes in stranger things history."

The latest series of Stranger Things has been breaking all records set before it since it landed on Netflix.
In March, after its release on the 25th, the second season of Bridgerton saw the number of hours viewed of the show reach 193 million.
However, Netflix has revealed Stranger Things - Volume 1 has seen 286.79 million hours viewed so far.
The production company and streaming platform also noted the season has been the first ever to reach number one in a whopping 83 countries.
In all 93 countries that Netflix tracks, the season made the top 10.
