Music fans got a double-whammy of star power at a Jeff Beck concert when Johnny Depp strode onto the stage and took up a guitar in the United Kingdom.
Fans described it as 'amazing', an 'awesome set', and 'bizarre' when the Pirates of the Caribbean actor joined Beck on stage to sing 'Isolation'. The pair recorded the cover of John Lennon's track in 2020.

Their cover song recently re-entered the charts as Depp's highly-publicised defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard played out in court.
Beck's surprise guest in Sheffield sent social media into overdrive, with users divided over Depp's appearance.
One social media user said: "I didn’t realise Friday was the last day for Depp in Virginia. He is performing with Jeff Beck in UK today. So, onward for him."
A second asked: "Who'd have thought Johnny Depp would be with Jeff Beck in Sheffield?"

A third added: "He finally gets to breathe and do what he loves! Good for him."
But not all were impressed, calling out the actor for his actions following the defamation case.
They said: "So Johnny Depp is on tour with Jeff Beck. The one who's been cancelled."
Depp's surprise appearance came just after his legal team entered their closing statements in his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard.

The six week long court case is now in the hands of the jury to decide if Heard defamed Depp in an opinion piece she wrote for The Washington Post back in 2018.
Depp wasn't named in the article, but he claimed the piece ruined his reputation.
The two actors started dating after meeting on the set of 2011 film The Rum Diary and were married in 2015.
Things soon fell apart and Heard obtained a restraining order against Depp the following year and they finalised their divorce in 2017.

In 2020, Depp lost a libel case brought against The Sun over an article where he was labelled a 'wife beater'.
The trial finally wrapped up after six weeks at Virginia's Fairfax County Circuit Court.
Although Johnny Depp is best known for his film work, the Pirates of the Caribbean star is also a musician.
He has played guitar for Alice Cooper's side project band The Hollywood Vampires for several years and worked with Jeff Beck during lockdown.
