Lady Gaga has snapped a photo with Hollywood leading actor Tom Cruise, which has some fans worried he's trying to lure her into Scientology.
‘The Born This Way’ singer, who is currently on her ‘Chromatica Ball’ tour, posted a photo via Instagram thanking the acclaimed actor for coming to her show.
On Tuesday (May 3), she wrote: “Thank you for coming to the show last night. I love you my friend @tomcruise.”

While some were thrilled over the unexpected friendship, many fans are worried the 59-year-old actor is trying to recruit the singer.
One person wrote: “Please PLEASE don’t because Lady Scientology.”
Another user commented: “Don't let him recruit you babe.”

A third user wrote: “Nope…Scientology king is not a friend nope”
While another person said: “Imagine if Gaga is in Scientology? That would be despairing.”
But alas, the singer is providing the song ‘Hold My Hand’ to Cruise’s upcoming flick Top Gun: Maverick, so maybe the unique pairing could be a publicity stunt in anticipation of the film?
However, Cruise, a known Scientologist, has a record of trying to enlist celebrities into his famous cult...um I mean, religion.

Actress Leah Remini left the Hollywood religion in 2013 after 34 years of devotion.
Remini also openly spoke of church's controlling and harmful practices, following her cutting ties with the religion.
In 2019, The Kings of Queens actress told US Magazine that Tom Cruise’s good-guy persona is merely a facade and that he's 'morphed' into a leader for the religion.

She said: “I think it’s time for people to start waking up to the real facts here. Tom has for years manipulated his image to be the good guy.
“Although I believe there was a time when Tom was a decent and kindhearted person, he has morphed himself into David Miscavige [leader of Scientology] and is completely dedicated to Scientology’s mission to ‘clear’ planet Earth — which means making 80 per cent of the world’s population into Scientologists.”
Remini had also said at one point she was ‘considering taking legal action’ against the organisation after she was reportedly being ‘spied on’ by its followers.
However, a Scientologist spokesperson has rebuked these claims calling them ‘false and unfounded’ while saying there’s ‘no credible evidence supporting the allegations'.

We just hope for Lady Gaga's sake that the actor is really a little monster and not secretly plotting for a fresh recruit.
