The iconic home featured in Kath & Kim is in the middle of being demolished.
The worst house on the best street of Fountain Lakes will soon be no more. Yes, you read that right. It's over. Finished. Burrito.
Kath Day-Knight's humble abode is being torn down.

Construction on the once-famous house has kicked off and workers have been spotted on site at 4 Lagoon Place, Patterson Lakes, south east of Melbourne.
TV Tonight has exclusive pictures of the demolition and it's a tough watch for any big fan of the show.
The residence was home to Australian TV's most iconic duo, Kath and Kim. It's expected to be fully demolished within two weeks, where it will then be relegated to the hallowed halls of Aussie television history.

The home was rented by the ABC for the hit sitcom, before it was sold in 2016 for $1.485 million.
It has since become a tourism hot spot for fans, with some driving many kilometres to catch a glimpse of the place that one foxy lady and one hunk of spunk called home (in television world, anyway).
People are understandably devastated by the news.

Fans did have ample warning to see the house in all of its early 2000s glory before it was gone like a packet of Dippity-Bix.
Owner Joanne Kelly revealed to the Herald Sun in 2019 she would be radically renovating the house.
But before the bulldozers came in, she decided to host an open-house to give fans one last chance opportunity to get their Kath & Kim fix.
"My friends always said to me before we started renovations, we had to do a Kath & Kim party,” Ms Kelly said.

"I thought instead of a party, we could turn this into something for charity."
The Kelly family charged $5 a pop and donated all proceedings to Carrie Bickmore’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer.
She was asked on Sunrise what her plans are for the rennovation and she said it will be pretty extensive.
"We’re changing a lot in the house, so it won’t look the same on the inside or the outside," she explained on the Channel 7 programme.

And now, it seems the Kelly family has followed through with their promise.
So all we're left with is memories - noice, different, and unusual memories, but memories nonetheless.
