The singer revealed that he suffers from the anxiety at 'big celebrity bashes' like the Brit awards and has since received some very welcomed support from pop music icon, Elton John.
Lewis explained: "I won some awards at the last one, which was nice, I performed at the last one, and this time I’m just there. Quite literally.
"Which is quite sad."

"I wonder what Elton John’s going to sing today," the star wondered, talking about what would eventually become the now-famous It’s A Sin performance with Years & Years.
It's clear that mentioning Elton triggered a memory for the 'Forget Me' singer as he began to share an amazing anecdote about him.
"He sent me quite a lovely email, have I told you about this email?" Lewis asked the interviewer.

Lewis remembered: "I had a few beers with Ed Sheeran, and I was telling him about my imposter syndrome situation," after which Elton sent him an emotional email.
Imagine having a pint with Ed and then getting an email from Elton out of nowhere all in the same 48 hours.
Elton's heartfelt email read: "Dear Lewis, I was talking to Ed yesterday and we talked about you.
"He said you were feeling a bit like an imposter. B***cks!"

The 'Bennie and the Jets' singer continued his praise: "You are totally your own man, your album is still riding high all over the world, and it’s also your FIRST ALBUM."
He went on to tell Lewis that he writes 'beautiful songs' which 'resonate with millions of people'.
"You are also great live and a wonderful singer, you are also very funny and original, I mean this sincerely," Elton wrote.
He then concluded the email with a typical Elton fashion: "Stop it now please or I will come up to Suffolk and bring out the latent homo in you.

"Buckets of love, Elton.”‘
After reading the letter out loud, Lewis admitted that Elton's words were 'nice to hear and stuff' but that he 'obviously still feels a bit like an imposter'.
"I don’t think it’s ever going to go away, the whole thing of, 'Why am I here?'" he added talking about the upcoming awards evening, "I’ll go there today and be like, 'What the f**k am I doing here?' For sure."
The 26-year-old went on to explaining that people can have imposter syndrome 'at any level', saying: "That bleeds into every single decision you make and everything you do.
"For me, it’s always just seemed quite alien, people that turn up and see me live and see me play, I love the fact that people do get to give a f**k and listen to my music," he continued.
While he revealed he doesn't know 'why people would turn up and see' him perform, he is still 'eternally grateful' for his fans.
Lewis concluded: "I f**king can’t thank people enough.
"I love you but I will never understand you, that’s what I’m trying to say to you all at home, yeah, I just don’t get it."
