We’ve been treated to What If…?, Loki, and Hawkeye, and now Marvel is providing fans with another iconic series on Disney+.
For those paying attention, Echo, also known as Maya Lopez, is actually a character from the (apparently super gory) Hawkeye series.
The deaf gang leader, recognisable from a handprint mark on her face, first appeared as Echo in a 1999 comic, and keen Marvel Cinematic Universe watchers recognise her as the first character to adopt the Ronin identity from Avengers: Endgame and Hawkeye.

Now fans are excited about what her origin story spin-off will bring - and twenty-fifth series in the MCU - will bring.
When is Echo coming out?
If you’re on the edge of your seat for this release, you might want to get comfortable.
Since we’ve only just had the first images from the film, fans will have to wait until 2023 to see the first season of Echo in all its glory.

Don’t worry though, there’s plenty of Marvel to feast your eyes on before then, including The She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, Ms. Marvel and the Black Panther sequel.
Who is in the cast of Echo?
We don’t know much about the characters in Echo, but have a pretty good idea of who is involved in the film.
There’ll naturally be a strong emphasis on Native American actors and characters, as in Hawkeye.

- Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil
- Devery Jacobs as Julie

Echo trailer:
We wish… There’s no trailer for Echo out yet - production is still underway in Atlanta!
