She regularly says she has never read the Harry Potter books and insists they are for children, and videos of her soundbites regularly go viral due to her candour and unexpected honesty.
Gloriously filter free, Miriam happily burps and farts on telly, sending This Morning host Holly Willoughby into hysterics with her antics. She also recently announced to Holly that she has created several audio sex tapes over the years. "Well, I did a couple of sex tapes, Sexy Sonja: Leaves from my Schoolgirl Diary. That was one of them," she explained. "But I have to stress they were audiotapes, they were not visual. And they're very exhausting because when you're simulating orgasm, as all of you out there will know, it's tiring and you get a headache.”

Miriam also earned mega money from many voice roles over the years, including the infamous Caramel Bunny advert (ask your dad) from the 1980s and 1990s, and many fans have been shocked recently to discover Miriam was responsible.
She’s had an incredibly varied and rich career which has clearly paid off. Miriam trod the boards in the theatre, starring in the likes of Fiddler of the Roof, Canterbury Tales, Romeo and Juliet, The Vagina Monologues, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Wicked. Her other highest profile film role besides Harry Potter came as playing Mrs. Mingott in the movie The Age of Innocence. She won a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the role in 1994. She was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for Services to Drama in 2002.
Margolyes would be comedy gold as a dinner party guest with some of her tales: following the 1999 horror film End Of Days, she said co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger farted in her face. She said: "He farted in my face. Now, I fart, of course, I do — but I don't fart in people's faces. He did it deliberately, right in my face. I was playing Satan's sister and he was killing me, so he had me in a position where I couldn't escape and lying on the floor. And he just farted."

The star has also written a memoir called This Much Is True which reviewers described as “eye-popping”.
Not content with acting, writing, and voiceover work, Miriam has also hosted documentaries. She travelled to India to explore retirement for The Real Marigold Hotel, and hosted the BBC's Miriam's Big American Adventure.
She’s showing no signs of slowing down, either, so the money will keep coming.
