The episode was the fifth to be released from Moon Knight, which landed on Disney+ at the end of last month and has a very respectable 7.6 rating overall.
Shortly after the fifth episode started streaming, fans flocked to social media praising the performance from star Oscar Isaac.
One person wrote: “Moon Knight has ebbed and flowed for me so far this season, but my word, episode 5 was an absolute masterpiece in story telling and from an acting perspective. Oscar Isaac is a master of his craft.”

Another said: “There shouldn't even be a competition. They should just give every damn award to Oscar Isaac.”
While a third commented: “Episode 5 is one of the most profound pieces of storytelling the MCU has achieved. I love how they depicted the fragility of the mind & how trauma has a severe impact on forming who we are. Oscar Isaac displayed masterful acting. What a mind trip.”
For those of you who haven’t yet seen it, but are now considering giving it a watch, a synopsis for the show explains: “Steven Grant (played by Isaac) a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life.
"Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector.

"As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt."
Alongside Isaac, the series stars Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy and will run for six episodes with the finale landing later this week.
While Moon Knight has managed to bag itself the title of highest of the Disney+ MCU episodes - the highest rated Marvel episodes of all time actually belong to Daredevil which had several rated a super impressive 9.5 and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which also had 9.5 and 9.4 rated episodes.
