For some reason, 2023 has seen a bunch of singers being hit by something as they perform their hits to adoring fans on stage.
First, Bebe Rexha who was 'rushed' off stage after a phone was launched at her by a fan while rapper Drake was also hit by a mobile in a concert back in July.
Now, Ellie Goulding has been hit by something while performing at a concert.
The 36-year-old was hit by a pyro flame that went off at the wrong time and hit her in the face while she performed her hit single 'Miracle' to fans at the Victorious Festival in Portsmouth on Sunday (27 August).

Video of the incident was posted to TikTok by the user @random.1507, which saw Ellie get the shock of her life when she was hit by the firework.
The singer could also be heard screaming and shouted 'f*ck' as it struck her square in the face, leading to a moment where Ellie holds her face for a brief second, MailOnline reports.
However, Ellie managed to soldier on and continue performing the song.

LADbible has reached out to Ellie's reps for comment.
It comes after Ellie gave a rare insight into her personal life during a TV appearance on This Morning back in April.
Discussing her son Arthur, Ellie said: "He's nearly two. That's the best thing, that this album I get to see his reaction which is the greatest of all. Not when he puts his fingers in his ears to some of them.
"But mostly... he loves Miracle and he loves How Long Will I Love You for some reason. That one too."

Adding: "The juggle is real. I don't get a huge amount of sleep, but I love everything. I love being a UN ambassador...
"I'm a big environmentalist, so I love doing that and then touring is my natural habitat."
