Eminem has shut down a popular fan theory about his new album.
The rapper, 51, recently released his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady, and fans have been coming up with all kinds of theories about how it should be listened to and in what order.
Despite Eminem himself very clearly instructing fans to listen to the album in the order it was released, some fans have had other ideas.

He wrote: "Public service announcement: the 'death of slim shady' is a conceptual album, therefore, if you listen to songs out of order they might not make sense. Enjoy."
But despite this, some have said that if you listen to the album backwards, there's actually 'another meaning'.
Doing so essentially means that the album is now no longer about the death of Slim Shady, but actually about him coming back to life.

One person wrote on X: "Wait yall are telling me if I listen to The Death of Slim Shady backwards it becomes a completely different story?"
While another said: Eminem’s ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)’ in reverse order reveals a haunting transformation. It’s not just an album but a cryptic journey of Marshall succumbing to Slim Shady. Listen closely and decide for yourself."
The user even made a huge thread on why the album should be listened to backwards, even hinting that Eminem's PSA suggests so.

"Could this be hinting at the need to reverse the order for the true narrative?" they asked.
However, the rapper has once again shut the theory down.
In a new interview 'with Slim Shady' via Complex, a warning at the beginning of the clip reads: “Viewers who are too r******d to listen to ‘The Death of Slim Shady’ in its intended sequential order are advised to exercise extreme caution, as this content is not for the weak and squeamish.

"For those who decide to continue watching, please consider this a warning that every one of your traumas is about to be triggered."
However, people still aren't getting it, with some saying the warning was put out to throw people off.
"I feel like this is the point to throw us off, or make us think this way," one wrote.
"Would shady want us to think he's winning until he can complete take over?? "But anyways it's all fun and games. It's never this serious, let people have fun."

We can't lie, we're kind of intrigued to listen to it backwards now.
