Everything we know about who will play secret sets at Glastonbury 2024

A few big names have already been doing the rounds on social media

Here is everything we know about who will be playing a secret set at this year's Glastonbury festival.

Secret sets have long been a unique quirk at Glastonbury, with some of the industry's biggest names rocking up on smaller stages for surprise performances.

They offer fans an opportunity to see massive acts in a more intimate setting - well, as intimate as a 210,000 person festival can get.

So who are the artists rumoured to be playing a secret set at Glastonbury 2024?

Glastonbury secret set predictions

The fun thing about a secret set is that just about anyone could rock up on stage, with the likes of Pulp, Radiohead, The Killers, The Libertines, Lady Gaga, Foals and Franz Ferdinand all performing in years gone by.

However, nothing can be kept perfectly secret in this world, with rumours already beginning to swirl online among those in the know and those who claim to be in the know.

The rumour you've most likely heard is that indie-rock giants Kasabian will be making a triumphant appearance at the Woodsies stage at 6pm on Saturday.

Kasabian are currently set to play a massive gig at Victoria park in their home city of Leicester on 6 July, which would mean a set at Woodsies would be the perfect warm up for Serge Pizzorno's group. It would also be a lot more intimate of a gig as the Woodsies stage is about a fifth of the size of Victoria park.

Another big name currently doing the rounds are US rockers Kings of Leon, who have also been reported for the Woodsies slot.

The 'Sex on Fire' hitmakers are already in the UK ahead of their show at London's Hyde Park on Sunday night, which means a set at Glastonbury would make their perfect dress rehearsal.

Pulp have also been rumoured to make an appearance as the 90s Brit-pop rockers have already announced a number of reunion shows. Frontman Jarvis Cocker is on the bill for a separate DJ set, which means that fans wouldn't be too suspicious if he was spotted on the farm.

The Killers, Green Day and The XX are also other secret set names being uttered on the grapevine.

As for the BBC Introducing Stage - who usually hosts more up and coming acts - these are usually announced by the broadcaster via social media and a chalkboard set up outside the stage.
