No matter how much you might want to ignore the fact you’ve not got Glasto tickets, it’s unavoidable at this point.
Oh yes, it’s Glastonbury weekend and everyone you know seems to be there. Or maybe you’re lucky enough that you’re actually there and have managed to get enough signal to sit and read this.
So, helpful for those on Worthy Farm looking to have the full experience or others who are left dreaming of going someday, a woman who’s been to the legendary festival four times has shared a ‘bucket list’ of things to do.

Four times? Cool, good for you, nice brag. Rub it in our faces why don’t you?
Ok, now get over that FOMO as the Glasto lover shared with the Mirror her top recommendations for the weekend that she reckons isn’t just a music festival.
“It’s a spiritual experience, a way of life. It’s home,’ she says.
Visit the sign
Now even those of us who haven’t been yet know that surely this is a bit of a given. You just can’t go to Glastonbury and not visit the famous sign.

The ‘Duke of Edinburgh-style trek’ is an absolute must and the four-timer recommends making the journey ‘as early as possible’.
So, the year you do manage to get there, head at sunset on the first day to watch the sky transform over the iconic site.
Try an ostrich burger
Ok, well this is a rogue one. The festival goer reckons if there’s one food offering ‘you must try’ then it’s an ostrich burger named ‘The Glastonbury’.

Apparently, it’s loaded up with an ostrich patty, smoked bacon, stilton mayo, Jack Daniels onions and salad leaves.
Or, you know, you could just make it your own bucket list goal to eat some mega street food scran at the festival – it doesn’t have to be a bird burger.
South East Corner
Apparently this is a spot all the ‘seasoned Glastonbury goers’ are on to.

If you manage to get tickets to the next festival, you’re to head here on the Thursday night as the area ‘truly knows no bounds’.
The Glasto lover keeps tight wraps on the ‘intimate details’ but heads here every time for ‘an otherworldly, spiritual experience’ you can’t find anywhere else.
“You start as the sun begins to set and keep going until it rises again,” she adds.
The Meat Rack
She also says this spot is an absolute must-visit where many people ‘queue for hours’ just to get in.

“This is where New York City meats Glastonbury,” she jokes.
A big old humid warehouse dropped onto the farm is described as hot and sweaty with an ‘air of exclusivity’ as you’ll need to nab a ticket to get in.
The woman describes: “The Meat Rack embodies the wonderful, liberated and powerful spirit of the LGBTQ+ community.”
Find a secret stage
The festival boasts all sorts of weird and wonderful stages and things to do and amid all that is also the secret spots.
While this Glasto goer has ‘tried and failed to uncover’ some of them herself, she recommends following the whispers at least once to add to your experience.
Find the Underground Piano Bar for a lesser-known spot.
She adds: “Rumours are part and parcel of the festival experience, but remember, most of the time, they turn out to be true.”
Well, happy Glastonbury lads. Hopefully you’ll get there one year and can try this out – if you’re not there and looking right now.
