It ain't about the money, money, money - that is, if you've got a lot of money, money, money.
Pop star Jessie J has still been raking in the cash despite leaving her record label last year and releasing zero songs.
The British singer, 36, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, became an international success with the release of 'Price Tag' in 2014, topping the charts in 19 countries 2011.

Wow, I feel old.
For 17 years, she was signed with Republic Records, who helped make her one of the most popular artists in the world, with monster hits such as 'Nobody's Perfect' and 'Bang Bang'.
However, taking to social media last year, Jessie announced her 'unemployment', explaining: "Nothing's happened. It's not dramatic.

"It just literally is me going, 'You know what? This doesn't feel right', and it hasn't for years, and I need to just stop trusting my instincts and act on them. And so I asked.
"And now I'm unemployed. I'm now in the process of doing all the legalities and sorting out all the music.
"You know, it's not just me that's involved, and obviously I have to respect and be patient on getting all of that sorted out, but I am in the process of doing that so that I can put out new music and do it my way, on my time, on my terms, and do it independently.

"You know, I'm just an Aries, and now I've had a baby. There's just no stopping me."
Following her announcement, Companies House has shared her ongoing earnings from Who You Are Ltd and Who You Are Touring Ltd, which suggest that Jessie earned £7,600,000 from her music last year, which is almost £28,000 a day.
Not bad considering that she's not put out a new song since 2021's 'I Want Love', though it's not clear how much the singer if the singer payed for the rights of her catalogue of music, or not.

Thanking Republic for jumpstarting her career, she added: "I have nothing bad to say about Republic, just isn't the right place for me anymore.
"And so I left, and I want to say thank you to everyone that I've met there, everyone that made such an impact on my career, in the beginning and middle and the end in it.
"And now the end, I'm hoping that, honestly, there's a 12-year-old somewhere that decides that 'I deserve to be a star on TikTok', because truly, they're the new record labels."
LADbible Group has contacted Jessie J's representative for comment.
