Liam and Noel Gallagher officially tease Oasis reunion

The duo appear to have made up

Liam and Noel Gallagher have dropped the heaviest hint yet that Oasis will be reuniting.

The iconic duo have been mooted to bring back the band after almost 15 years.

The brothers have had a long running and well documented feud, though it appears the pair have managed to put their animosity to bed in order to bring back Oasis.

In what would be sure to be one of the biggest reunions in music history, the pair have for the first time taken a massive leap towards confirming rumours that they would be returning next year.

The first hint of the night came in the form of a teaser displayed at the end of a show by Stockport band The Blossoms.

After a headline show at Wythenshawe Park, a ten second clip hinted at the return of Oasis.

Earlier today, the Manchester Evening News had reported that a gig announcement was due for the return of the band in the next few days.

This now appears to be true.

The duo have both posted on Twitter with a date and time, assumedly confirming when the announcement will come. This is further confirmed by the official Oasis account posting a small teaser in the bands font.

With Noel posting '8am', and Liam posting '27.08.24', I may not be a detective... but I think they may be hinting at something.

Whilst not yet confirmed, the Manchester Evening News also believe that tickets could be released in the next seven days, and expect them to be upwards of £100.

It is widely expected that there will be multiple performances at Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley in London, and Murrayfield in Edinburgh.

The announcement has led fans, understandably, to go into meltdown.

Beyond the numerous fans that in order to get tickets they will sell their car, their house, and even their partner if that's what it takes, others were simply ecstatic it appears to be finally happening.

One tweeted: "The greatest band ever back together."

Another posted: "Omg it’s actually happening! Just hope will be able to get tickets. Will be like reliving my adolescence".

A third tweeted: "JAJAJDKFLAJSJRJESKJDFJJDALSJFJDJSKSJFJSKAJS". Honestly, same.

When announcing the band had split up, Noel Gallagher posted: "‘It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."

He went on to say: "He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup."

Hopefully, bygones are bygones, and the pair have been able to find a way to avoid looking back in anger.
