A new Netflix series that's dropping on the streaming service soon has been ridiculed for its lengthy title. You can watch the trailer for *clears throat* The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window, here:
So there we have it, the show - starring Kristen Bell - has a fourteen word title and it'll be available to watch from 28 January.
But we need an abbreviation for when people ask what we're watching otherwise it's going to be 'the one about the woman in the window across the street or whatever'.
People are already laughing about the name of the series with one writing: "When Netflix doesn't care about your SEOs by giving you a series name that is 14-words long."
Another added: "the woman in the house across the city hall at the subway station in front of the post office in autumn."
And someone else commented: "Producer: so your story is about the woman in the house across the street from the girl in the window?
Writer: yes... Producer: what's the title of this series? Writer: yes."
A fourth said: "Sorry, just trying to figure out which title is longer and I'm too lazy to copy/paste to Word. The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window? [Or] Seven Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss By Passing Through the Gateway Chosen By the Holy Storsh."
Others have explained how the show is a parody of the Amy Adams' film The Woman in the Window that was released last year.
Clearing things up for those confused, one person wrote: "Before everyone talks about how similar the title is to The Woman in the Window movie this is a parody/satire and it’s a limited tv show not a movie."
According to IMDb, the show centres around a heartbroken woman called Anna (Kristen Bell) who sits with her wine and stares out of her window. So she lives... my life.
Anyway she noticed a handsome neighbour moves in across the street and starts to see light at the end of the tunnel. Well, that's before she witnesses a gruesome murder - maybe.
DUN DUN DUUUUN.
The series will premiere in Netflix on 28 January.
