A so-called '11/10’ heist action thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal is currently taking over Netflix.
The 2022 Michael Bay-directed film follows decorated veteran Will Sharp (Yahya Abdul-Mateen) who is desperate for money to cover his wife’s medical bills.
With his back against the wall, Will asks for help from the one person he knows he shouldn’t, his adoptive brother Danny (Gyllenhaal).

Gyllenhaal plays a charismatic career criminal, who instead offers him a score, the biggest bank heist in Los Angeles history of $32 million.
Will can’t say no to the risky proposal because his wife's life is on the line.
However, when their getaway goes spectacularly wrong, the desperate brothers get into a load of trouble, hijacking an ambulance with a wounded cop clinging to life.

Will and Danny have a lot to deal with, evading a city-wide law enforcement response, keeping their hostages alive and somehow trying not to kill each other.

But with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 68 percent, some of the critics weren't totally in to it.
"It’s the runtime that ultimately ruins Ambulance," one wrote.
"Had the film been 90-minutes, instead of two hours and sixteen minutes, it would have been much more effective.

"It’s difficult to maintain a sense of tension over the course of a movie that long."
Another unfiltered critic added: "A bonkers, self-reverential, albeit tolerable Michael Bay movie accompanied by his characteristic high octane, macho, hyperbolic sledgehammer style."
"Despite many attempts to liven it up with large doses of spectacle, it just can't compensate for a story on a fast track to nowhere, resulting in a rather forgettable action extravaganza," someone else said.
However, it has solid 88 percent audience score so it depends on who you believe.
Alongside Gyllenhaal stars Eiza González, Garret Dillahunt and WWE legend John Cena.
If you want to give it a try, Ambulance is available to watch on Netflix now.
