Calling all crime junkies! Netflix has quietly released eight seasons of an absolute banger of a series and you’re not going to want to miss out.
Finding a binge-worthy series these days is like catching the sun, however this show is a rarity.
Not only does the Showtime Networks show feature crime, comedy and shocking twists, but it’s got a few hefty names in the cast, including Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter.
That’s right, it’s the one and only America’s favourite serial killer, Dexter, and all eight seasons have magically re-appeared on the streaming service.

If you’re not already familiar with Dexter Morgan, the blood splatter analyst, this show ran from 2006 to 2013, and is a critically acclaimed crime drama series following Michael C. Hall as Dexter who struggles with his urges to become a vigilante serial killer.
It was even renewed for a continuation almost a decade on in 2021, and Dexter: New Blood received one season for excited fans to tie up loose ends after the end of season eight proved to open up a host of conspiracies.
You can also find Dexter on Netflix by using the code 70136126, so that’s handy!
But it wasn’t all fun and games creating a new vibe for Dexter.

The eight-year hiatus production took before creating the continuation took its toll on the lead actor.
In an interview with First Post in 2021, Hall said: “I didn't know if I could be Dexter again after eight years. But he was still there.”
Thankfully, he was able to conjure up those feelings again and the season became a hit, albeit totally different from the original.

However, after backlash from fans over season eight, he almost didn’t want to return after telling GQ that there was pressure to create something to make up for the disappointing finale, and that he needed to be sure he could come back if there was something of substance to tell the audience.
For those of you who don’t know, this show is chocker-blocked with substance, shocking twists, psychology, and some pretty crazy shenanigans.
You might even shed a tear for the crazed killer, because the way in which he is portrayed is so real, that you almost feel sorry for him.

Be prepared to start up the tears, though as fans have flocked to social media to talk about how the series made them feel.
One person on X wrote: ““The ending to Dexter New Blood has me in TEARS. He finally felt real love in the end.”
Another said: “Seeing the finale of Dexter has me in literal tears.”
Someone else chimed in: “Why can’t we have a real life Dexter Morgan because I am UNHINGED by this man omg”.
