With Christmas just around the corner, it's time to start indulging in some good old family traditions.

And is any more treasured than sitting down together to watch a Christmas movie? But with that comes the inevitable slog of selecting a film.

We all have our own preferences when it comes to movies, and the holiday season is no exception.

Whether it's Home Alone or Elf, or even a contested holiday staple like Die Hard, we all want our say about what gets put on.

Worst yet is when the film you really want to see can't be found on Netflix.

But a new code has been revealed which makes the process of finding all of Netflix's holiday offerings a lot easier.

How do you use these codes?

The easiest way is whilst browsing on a computer or laptop, but it can also be done on a TV through the search box.

Each film genre has a code to bring them all up. For example, comedies is 6548, whilst 2787344 is the code used to bring films by award winning directors.

All you do is type into your URL bar: netflix.com/browse/genre and then follow this with the code of your choosing.

It certainly streamlines the process, and it saves your sanity from the endless flicking through countless films as your relatives mull over what they're in the mood for.

Only issue is that there's a ton of these codes - 3,500, according to whats-on-netflix.com.

But what about Christmas films?

A new code now serves as the hub for all of the streaming platform's merriest movies.

Called 'Start Your Holidays Here', the hub page's description read: "Getting cozy, gathering with family and everything in between. No matter the moment, we've got a festive movie or show for every mood."

And when they say every mood, they're no exaggerating.
