Netflix viewers reckon the streaming giant has made a ‘mistake’ with how it released its most expensive movie ever.
As you may have seen, Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire landed on the platform today and, according to Vanity Fair, cost a staggering $166 million (£130 million) to make.

The Zack Snyder led film follows a lone-wolf soldier (Boutella) who is a long way from her former life fighting for the Imperium - the brutal interstellar royal empire aiming to take charge of the galaxy.
Although Kara finds community on the farming moon of Veldt, her violent past comes to haunt her as admiral Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein) pays her a visit following the orders of the Imperium’s tyrannical regent, Balisarius (Fra Fee).
The film clocks in at two-hours-and-14-minutes with a second part - titled Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver set to be released in April next year.

And while viewers have been left blown away by the high-budget movie, some reckon that the way it was released was a bit of ‘mistake’.
Because it was the PG-13 version of Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire that was released on Netflix today - some fans think it would have been far better for the streaming service to dish up the ‘director's cut’ before this more family-friendly one.
In a post on X, one person said: “I’m pretty sure (based on the response from both haters AND fans) that Netflix will nix the PG13 cut of Rebel Moon Part 2 in favour of the Director’s Cut when it releases in April.
"No matter how you cut it, dropping the PG13 version of Part 1 before the Director’s Cut was a mistake.”

While someone else said: “Ladies and Gentlemen. Now that we’ve all seen Rebel Moon I will now be accepting PG-13 cut apologies.”
A third commented: “Rebel Moon was bad a**! But I have my complaints @netflix you should have released both PG13 and uncut because I need the uncut. I am an adult, not a goof nerd who can't take it!”
Others still enjoyed the version but were eagerly anticipating the longer cut.

“The PG-13 cut is pretty good, but I think the three hour cut will turn this into a classic in my heart,” wrote a fan.
