Heist movie fans rejoice, as a film which some viewers are calling a ‘masterpiece’ has been added to Netflix.

As the A-Team would say, 'I just love it when a good plan comes together'.

There are few things in cinema as satisfying as a well organised heist thriller.

Who doesn't love a heist film? Like Ocean's 11, for example (Warner Brothers)

The characters standing around a table over a map, when it all goes wrong and they have to improvise, the moment they get away with it, it’s a feeling of pure film joy if you ask me.

Whilst my family of Oceans fanatics may disown me for merely suggesting this though, Netflix have finally added a heist movie which some have called the best in years.

Straight after its release too, it has shot right to the top of the streamer’s charts, showing that fans are absolutely loving it.

Whilst it will take a lot to top Oceans 11 in my eyes, check out the trailer and see if you think it will do it for you:

The film is called The Vault, and after releasing in 2021, it has finally hit Netflix in the UK.

Starring Freddie Highmore of The Good Doctor fame, the synopsis reads as follows: “When an engineer learns of a mysterious, impenetrable fortress hidden under the Bank of Spain, he joins a crew of master thieves who plan to steal the legendary lost treasure while the whole country watches the World Cup.

“With thousands of soccer fans cheering in the streets, and security forces closing in, the crew has just minutes to pull off the score of a lifetime.”

If you aren’t immediately in after that pitch, we have different views on films clearly.

One fan posted about it on the Facebook group Netflix Bangers after watching saying: “Watched this twice already. Really good.”

Another gave the film as high a praise as you can, commenting it as one of their top options when someone was looking for something to watch similar to Money Heist.

Though the film released to mixed reviews, getting an average rating of 6.4 on IMDb and 58 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, some fans and even critics are clearly loving it.

Adam Graham, writing for the Detroit News, said: “The scene, the setting and the characters are all familiar, but The Vault moves nimbly and efficiently through the motions. Consider this bank job a score.”

One fan said in their 10/10 review on IMDb: “If you are a heist movie fan, don't miss this one! A great mix of excitement, cool and genius planning and all the ups and downs executing it.”

And another said: “It would be so great if this movie had a sequel. This is one of best movie i ever watched.”

The Vault is available on Netflix now.
