As film fans, there are few things better than finding a hidden gem on Netflix.
It’s all well and good to watch whatever is coming out that week, whether it be a new spy comedy like the streamer’s number one movie right now, Back in Action, or a film added from another company like Into the Spider-Verse.
What is even more fun than that is scrolling through the depths of Netflix and realising an amazing, underrated film is on there.

One hidden gem on the streamer that fans are loving is a classic erotic coming of age film which some fans are calling ‘the original Challengers’, with others more simply calling it a 'masterpiece'.
It’s called Y Tu Mama Tambien, and while ‘the original Challengers’ may seem a lofty title, if anything it makes Challengers look PG in comparison.
The film focuses on two young men, Tenoch and Julio, who boast to an older woman, Luisa, about an incredible road trip they are undertaking, which she decides to tag along on – despite the fact they were making it up.

Starring a young Diego Luna alongside Gael Garcia Bernal and Maribel Verdu, it was also directed by Alfonso Cuarón, who went on to direct the third (and best) Harry Potter film, as well as Children of Men, Roma and Gravity.
The film features a three-way romance, similar to Challengers, in which Luisa carries all the power in the relationship.
One fan tweeted “The Original Challengers,” with the three-way-kissing scene a hot topic of discussion.

Y Tu Mama Tambien, however, goes far further than the Zendaya thriller.
Over the course of their road trip, both Tenoch and Julio have sex with Luisa.
When they each discover this, they get into a fight, with Luisa scolding them, before later getting drunk as a three.

They dance together sensually, before going back to their room, all three kissing, with Luisa pleasuring the boys as they both kiss each other.
The racy film however is far more than just the sex, with it being highly rated by viewers and critics alike.
With a 7.7 on IMDb, a 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and was nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars.
One post on Reddit about the film said: “Just watched Y Tu Mama Tambien had a gutpunch ending. I'm still thinking about it.

“It really is the best Mexican film of this century and one of the best Latin American films.”
Another posted to twitter saying: “ Y tu mama tambien got added to Netflix time for a rewatch.”
Many were enamoured with the threesome scene in specific, with one viewer tweeting a clip of it saying: “Y Tu Mamá También threesome scene oh my god…”
