The cast of Netflix’s biggest show right now, The Perfect Couple, have revealed they were in a state of 'mutiny' ahead of the filming of a controversial opening sequence.
The show, in which a rich family are implicated in murder after a body is found just hours before a beach wedding, has been a massive hit so far - despite being branded as 'perverted' and 'inappropriate'.
The Perfect Couple has not only shot to the top of the charts in the UK on Netflix, but is the top show in the world on the streamer.
One aspect of the show that has had viewers absolutely baffled has been the opening sequence, in which the entire cast engage in an elaborate dance sequence.

Even star of the show Nicole Kidman joins in, with Meghan Trainor’s Criminals playing.
Whilst fun and campy, it is also a bizarre intro to a murder mystery show, with many fans are split over it.
One viewer tweeted: “What the actual f*ck was the thought process behind the flash mob dance number as the title for The Perfect Couple Netflix? Cause that sh*t was jarring.”
As another tweeted: “The opening dance scene to each episode of The Perfect Couple is so together and unhinged, it's amazing. I love it. 10/10 no notes.”

A third said: “It’s actually so stupid but the dance at the start of every episode of #ThePerfectCouple is the best, most unserious thing they could’ve done.”
And one critic even said: “The Perfect Couple’s intro is so fun and unserious - I mean, a literal murder happens in the series - and the intro is everyone doing the electric slide. But I can’t bring myself to skip it. I watched the intro every single episode, and maybe even danced along.”
If you think viewers were torn on it, the cast seem to have been just as on the fence.

Variety revealed that the cast staged a ‘mutiny’ to try avoid doing the dance.
The cast even created a WhatsApp group chat to try and get it shut down according to the trade.
Meghann Fahy, who starred in the show, told Variety: “Everyone was on that group saying they didn’t want to do this because we just didn’t understand.

“I actually have a really, really huge issue with learning choreography so I was very nervous about it.”
Ishaan Khatter, who plays Scooter in the show, said: “I don’t think any of us could make sense of doing this choreography in these characters. We’re like, ‘Wait where does this fit into the scheme of things? This was not part of the assignment!’”
The only actor who seemed to be having a great time? Titular member of ‘The Perfect Couple’ Liev Schreiber, who played Tag.
Schreiber said: "I was already in my trailer practicing the dance moves. I just like dancing and I was kinda disappointed when it came out that I’m not in it more because I thought I did it really well.”
