Sad news for fantasy TV fans, as a highly anticipated series has been cancelled even after production wrapped.
It's an incredibly odd situation, but Netflix have decided to pull the plug on the German series, which began filming in late 2022.
Originally created by Der Samurai's Till Kleinert and Dog Haus’ Erol Yesilkaya, the streaming giant has decided to quietly shelve the show.

According to What's on Netflix, it was billed as a 'fairy tale urban fantasy thriller', when they broke the news of the show being filmed.
The team behind time-travelling hit Dark, Wiedemann & Berg, were partially behind the upcoming series too, which further begs the question of why it was cancelled at all.
Developed at Netflix's German base, actors such as Hyun Wanner, Patrick Isermeyer, Eidin Jalali and Dennis Schuermann were set to play roles in the series named The Grimm Reality.

Plot details of the fantasy series were never revealed, though it was suggested that it would be based on tales from the 18th and 19th centuries - with its title hinting towards a focus on the tales of the German Grimm brothers.
Netflix's decision has been labelled 'harsh', as the cancelled series is one of many in the works from indie company Wiedemann & Berg with the streaming giant.
One of the most recent releases from the company was titled Sixty Minutes, where an MMA fighter races across Berlin to reach his daughter's birthday party so he does not lose custody.

An older release was called Brick, which follows a couple who become trapped in their apartment after being suddenly surrounded by a brick wall, which was revealed at a Netflix event in Berlin this year.
The indie is part of Leonine Studios, acquired by French media conglomerate Mediawan, who is responsible for making Amazon Prime Video's large-scale drama The Gryphon along with production company Dog Haus.
The team behind Dog Haus are also responsible for shows such as Tatort and Exit.
