Eagle-eyed social media users have been left in stitches after realising where they recognise one of the star’s of The Gentlemen spin-off series from.
Earlier today, fans were given their very first glimpse of the new Guy Ritchie series, set to land on Netflix next year.
Sharing the same title as the 2019 film starring Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant, the series is created, co-written and executive produced by Ritchie.

The series sees Richie team up with Vinnie Jones again, having previously worked together on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Speaking about his new series, Ritchie said: “The world of The Gentlemen is a little bit of me. I’m thrilled that with Netflix, Miramax and Moonage we have this opportunity to inhabit it once again.
"We’re looking forward to bringing fans back into that world, introducing new characters and their stories and I am excited to be doing it with this extremely talented cast."

The upcoming show has a completely different cast from the original flick, featuring Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Giancarlo Esposito, Chanel Cresswell, Michael Vu, Max Beesley, Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins, Dar Salim, Pearce Quigley, Ruby Sear and Peter Serafinowicz all set to appear.
However, it’s the lead actor Theo James who has caught people’s eye, with social media users recognising him from The Inbetweeners’ movie, where he starred in one particularly cringe-inducing scene.
James starred as Carli’s new boyfriend James in the 2011 movie and was basically a bit of k**b to our gang of lovable misfits.

But he gets his comeuppance later on in the flick when he uses a €20 note that’s been stashed away up Jay’s bum to snort some drugs, ending up with poo on the end of his nose. Lovely.
With the first-look snaps of The Gentleman series being shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person commented: “I still need to watch the film and I can’t look at Theo James the same again after the inbetweeners movie.” Fair enough.
Another said: “James from the Inbetweeners movie in the same series as Gustavo Fring. Fairs.”
A third commented: “I CANNOT unsee theo James with poo stuck to the end of his nose from the Inbetweeners movie, I CAN’T UNSEE IT! Every time I look at him he has poo on the end of his nose.”
