The race to become the next Prime Minister of the UK has begun with ten candidates already in the running, and perhaps a couple more to be announced within the coming days.
One MP that few predicted to stand for leader of the Conservative Party, is current Minister of State for Trade, Penny Mordaunt.

According to Apumone, Minister Penny Mordaunt has a net worth of $4 million (£3.3 million).

Her main source of income is said to come from her role in parliament as the Minister of State for Trade, an influential jobs in politics.
The 49-year-old has been tipped to be the ‘dark horse’ of the leadership battle.
Interestingly, aside from her career in politics, Miss Mordaunt is a member of the Royal Navy Reserves, increasing her popularity among Tory voters.
Despite this, she has already been shown discouragement publicly by Paralympic sprinter Jonnie Peacock who featured in her original campaign video.
