A whole host of celebrities are being celebrated for their unique and creative Met Gala looks, but Jared Leto has received praise enough for three after fans got confused about exactly which star was him.
The Morbius actor joined dozens of famous faces on the red carpet of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art last night (2 May), taking on the dress code of 'Gilded Glamour and White Tie' for this year's theme, In America: An Anthology of Fashion.
Also in attendance at the event was Swedish entrepreneur Fredrik Robertsson, who first rose to popularity after being featured in the January 2019 edition of Vogue as a ‘Mystery Man at Valentino’s Couture Show'.

With his short, platinum blonde hair it's unlikely Robertsson would be mistaken for Leto, who has long dark hair, in everyday life, but with all sorts of new looks being debuted at the Gala some fans believed they were looking at Leto when Robertsson took to the red carpet.
Robertsson appeared at the event wearing a silver Iris Van Herpen jumpsuit with impressive spokes of silver forming wings around his upper body. His white hair appeared to be flecked with silver and he had dark eye makeup dotted with white spots; undoubtedly a striking look, but one that apparently disguised him just enough to pass as Leto.
Confused social media users began to credit Leto for Robertsson's look, with one sharing a picture of Robertsson and writing: "Jared Leto wearing Iris Van Herpen for #metgala."

Another, not so appreciative fan joked: "I’m sorry but Jared Leto’s met gala look is giving… fish skeletal system."
The confusion was worsened by the fact Leto himself arrived at the gala looking identical to Gucci’s Alessandro Michele, with both stars wearing beige, floral patterned suits with red bowties, accessorised with black gloves and dark sunglasses, brown Gucci bags and silver clips to pin back their long dark hair.
Their appearance led to there being a grand total of three people resembling Jared Leto at the event, leaving many people questioning who was the actually the man himself.
A quick look at Robertsson's own Instagram page helps assure that he was the one wearing the silver wings, as before making his grand entrance he shared a picture of himself getting the recognisable dark makeup and white dots painted around his eyes.

He later shared a snap of himself on the red carpet, ironically captioned: "I can’t believe this is me," so at least the Twitter users weren't alone in their disbelief. One thing's for sure though – it definitely wasn't Leto.
