People on TikTok are convinced they've spotted a pop culture crossover while watching Netflix.
Ever since Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story dropped on the streaming service, viewers have been obsessed with finding out every detail about the infamous serial killer.
It seems that they're so invested in Dahmer's story that they're seeing him in the most unlikely places.

At least two TikTok videos have been posted so far, with the users suggesting Dahmer's character was in the background of a Stranger Things episode.
In a scene from the latest season, Max (Sadie Sink) gets off the school bus for another day of torment.
If you look closely, you can see a short, blonde-haired kid walking amongst his classmates.

It truely is a 'blink-and-you-miss-it moment', however it seems like enough people have noticed the boy in recent days.
The boy bares a striking resemblance to the serial killer, however there's a very unsurprising twist in this social media connection.
The timeline doesn't even come close to adding up.
As The Tab notes, Jeffrey Dahmer finished high school in 1978 and Stranger Things is set in the mid-'80s.

Also, Stranger Things is set in Hawkins, Indiana and Dahmer went to high school in Ohio.
So, there's no way a small Dahmer would be walking the halls of a school several states away and almost a decade without any growth.
Despite these very easy to find facts, it hasn't stopped people on TikTok commenting on the video thinking The Duffer Brothers tried to sneak in a historical character into their show.

One user wrote: "I want to remind you that the Duffer brothers love to put serial killer and horror movie references, yes the dates don't fit but that's normal."
However, other TikTokkers said the extra looks just like any other kid from the '80s.
A person said: "I'm sure most didn't know of Dahmer's existence and now they see it everywhere."
The only link between Jeffrey Dahmer and Stranger Things is the viewership numbers that Netflix has recently released.

The streaming platform says Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has been the biggest title for them since season four of The Duffer Brothers' project dropped earlier this year.
Dahmer managed to attract 196.2 million hours of viewership in the first part of its first week on Netflix (which was calculated from September 21 to September 25).
The fourth season of Stranger Things brought in 301.3 million hours from June 27 to July 3.
