Viewing figures for Piers Morgan's new show dropped by a third after one night, The Guardian reports.
The presenter returned with a bang on Monday (25 April) with talk show Piers Morgan Uncensored, in which he got the ball rolling with an interview with former POTUS Donald Trump.
The show - which aired on newly-launched Rupert Murdoch-owned network TalkTV - attracted an average audience of 317,000 and peaked at around 400,000, outdoing BBC News and Sky News.

However, viewing figures dropped to 216,000 for last night's show.
Morgan has since shared celebratory tweets, claiming his figures still 'hammered' his rivals'.
Last night's show featured the second part of the interview with Trump, in which he offered a bizarre definition of what a woman is.

Moving on to the subject of transgender athletes, Morgan said: "How much do you think the cancel culture... the woke debate is now beginning to really damage the Democrats, and I'll give you an example that's been raging recently. This whole issue of transgender athletes in sport, for example, in women's sport."
Trump agreed with Morgan's assertion that the inclusion of transgender athletes is 'grotesquely unfair', and despite saying he was 'not going to respond to the question' of what the definition of a woman is, Trump then proceeded to do so anyway.
"A woman is somebody that swims at a certain time and doesn't get beaten by 38 seconds by somebody that wasn't even a good swimmer as a male," he said.
As part of the more than 70-minute interview, Morgan asked Trump if he will run to be President in 2024, to which he replied: "For reasons of campaign finance and everything I'm not allowed to say but let me just say this, I think a lot of people are going to be very happy."

Also during the interview, the former President told Morgan that he believes he is 'much more honest' than him.
Trump said: "I don't think you're real. I think I'm a much more honest person in most ways."
Morgan appeared confused by the statement and asked, 'Why am I not real?', to which Trump replied: "We're not gonna get into that, let's finish up the interview."
Viewers were also shown the interview's acrimonious ending, with a previous teaser clip indicating that the 75-year-old had walked out of the interview.

Trump subsequently released a statement claiming Morgan 'attempted to unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview with me'.
Morgan insisted the promo was not 'fake news' and encouraged the former president to pick up the phone and have a 'virtual cup of tea' with him.
