Pregnant Bar Manager Stunned After Johnny Depp Walked Into Pub And Gave Her Parenting Advice

Depp’s surprise appearance at the boozer came just one hour before the news broke that he had won his defamation case against Amber Heard

A bar manager was left stunned after Johnny Depp walked into the pub where she works, and dished out some advice about parenthood after noticing she was pregnant.

Lauren Whittington couldn’t believe it when Depp turned up in the middle of her shift at the Bridge Tavern pub in Newcastle, where punters clocked the actor hanging out with Geordie musician Sam Fender and Jeff Beck.

Depp’s surprise appearance at the boozer came just one hour before the news broke that he had won his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard

Whittington said: "None of us could believe it, he went unnoticed for maybe an hour before anyone realised it was him and Jeff Beck just sat eating Fish and Chips together in the corner.

"His security came over and asked if there was any way we could get Sam Fender in without people ambushing him, so we shut off our upstairs terrace for them to go up there, they were really grateful and stayed for a couple of hours, with Sam staying long after Johnny and Jeff left.”

After taking photos with the star, Whittington was even given some parenting advice on the famous father-of-two.

She continued: "He noticed I’m pregnant and was asking me how long I have left, then he was giving me some advice on nappies, lack of sleep, and the first few weeks of parenthood, saying it’ll be the greatest gift I ever receive and I won’t know love like it until I look into her eyes for the first time.

"He was also talking about his kids, who are grown up now, and how magical being a parent is."

Whittington added: "He left about an hour before the verdict and said he had a zoom call about it, so we wished him luck and thanked him for being so kind, and he thanked us for having him."

After winning his defamation case against Heard earlier this week, Depp released a statement to say the jury had given him his 'life back' and that he felt 'truly humbled'.

“I am, and have been, overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and the colossal support and kindness from around the world. I hope that my quest to have the truth be told will have helped others, men or women, who have found themselves in my situation, and that those supporting them never give up. I also hope that the position will now return to innocent until proven guilty, both within the courts and in the media."

Depp said the 'best is yet to come' and that a 'new chapter has finally begun', adding: “Veritas numquam perit. Truth never perishes."

Heard also released a statement on social media to say the disappointment she felt was 'beyond words'.

"I'm heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence and sway of my ex-husband," she said.

"I'm even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback. It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously."

Heard added: "I'm sad I lost this case. But I am sadder still that I seem to have lost a right I thought I had as an American – to speak freely and openly."
