The Netflix thriller series first hit our screens back in October of this year with fans excited to watch director Ryan Murphy's latest addition to the genre.
Responsible for the likes of American Horror Story, Dahmer- Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and Ratched - it's fair to say that all thriller-lovers were quick to binge the seven-episode series.
The plot of the first season follows Nora Brannock and her husband Dean, played by Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale, along with their family who move into their dream home, only to be plagued by ominous letters, strange neighbours and sinister threats.
Based on the book by Reeves Wiedeman titled "The Haunting of a Dream House", The Watcher sent many into a frenzy with their own theories and investigations over who the Watcher could actually be.

In a Tweet posted by the official Netflix account, it was revealed that both Murphy and Brennan would "create two more instalments" together.
The Tweet read: "Following the record-breaking success of DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Ryan Murphy & Ian Brennan will create two more installments that will focus on other monstrous figures who have impacted society."
Concluding the announcement, Netflix also revealed: "A second season of The Watcher has also been greenlit!"
While we do not yet know a release date for the second season of The Watcher, it's assumed that it won't be immediate giving than season one only aired in October 2022.

After becoming familiar with the cast including Jennifer Coolidge as realtor Karen Calhoun and Mia Farrow as ominous neighbour Pearl Winslow - fans hope to see familiar faces yet it has not yet been confirmed if the cast will remain the same.
It's also not uncommon for Ryan Murphy to take an alternative route when creating film series.
Due to this, it is also not confirmed whether the second series will act as direct sequel to the first or whether it will take a similar structure to American Horror Story and be a totally different instalment.
Regardless, one thing we do know is that the Watcher's identity is yet to be revealed as the mystery continues.
