Seth Rogen has admitted that he spent his 20th birthday crying into his dinner after asking a woman he was seeing to be his girlfriend and getting rejected.
Hey, it’s hard for anyone to suffer that kind of a knock-back, even those with Hollywood stardom and an infectious laugh.
Rogen made the admission whilst appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live for Valentine’s Day and shared the story about his date that went wrong.

The Pam and Tommy star said that he was out around the time of his 20th birthday – nearly two decades ago – when the woman he’d been ‘hooking up’ with at the time gave him the cold shoulder.
He wanted to be her girlfriend, but she had other ideas.
"It was my birthday coming up, and so I asked her, 'Let's go out to dinner on my birthday’,” he explained.

"And I was like, 'I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend at this dinner on my birthday.'"
In a piece of incredibly poor timing, he decided that he’d asked her about becoming his girlfriend when the starters arrived.
Rookie mistake, Seth.
He continued: "She said no, and then I started crying.

"Then, I was like, 'We need to eat. Like, we can't leave.' And she was like, 'It's your birthday.'
"And there was a cake coming and s***, so I had to sit there and this poor woman had to sit there with me as I wept into my truffle mac and cheese."
Luckily, enough time has passed for Seth to now see the funny side, and he has learned a valuable lesson from the experience.
He said: "I was 20, I don't know!

"I was so young. I guess you don't ask, 'Will you be my girlfriend?'"
"So, if you're watching, kids, don't ask that.
"But if you do, ask at the end of the meal — not when the appetizers have come."
Sound advice.

Eventually, Rogen did find true love through his now-wife Lauren Miller.
The pair were introduced by screenwriter Will Reiser, who was dating Lauren’s friend.
They went on a first date in 2004, then tied the knot in 2011.
That sorted out a few problems for him, as he admitted he was ‘very bad’ at dating.
The 39-year-old Superbad star said: "I was terrible. I was a bad dater.
"I had terrible experiences dating women and I think the women who dated me also did not have the best experiences."
