Steve-O takes Bam Margera on tour with him to keep the former Jackass star alive

Bam is now the opening act for Steve-O's comedy tour as he's been really worried about Margera's mental health.

Steve-O has brought an old friend along with him for his comedy tour.

The legendary Jackass stuntman asked Bam Margera to be his opening act for the first nine shows of The Bucket List tour.

"We’ve definitely succeeded in cracking ourselves up, so off to a good start!" he said earlier this month.

"I’m looking forward to these next ten days, and really hoping that they bring about meaningful, positive progress. Fingers crossed!"

Well, it looks like that hard work has paid off as the first few shows have been outstanding.

Steve-O shocked the crowd when he announced the Jackass alumni was coming onto the stage.

TMZ says the audience at the Elsinore Theatre in Salem, Oregon, erupted with loud applause and cheers.

The outlet says Steve-O told the crowd that Bam would be coming along with him as he was worried about Bam's mental health.

"I think I can peel back the curtain just a little bit here and share with you guys that the reason I wanted to bring Bam on tour is because I am real f***ing worried about him," he said.

"It's become extremely uncomfortable to be braced for the news of your death, Bam.

"I've been bracing myself for that f***ing awful news and I can't stand it, man."

He added: "So I wanted you to come on tour, stay close to me, see what's possible, help you put together an act of your own.

"You've got this arc. All these funny bits and jokes and stories. It all doesn't mean s**t if it doesn't have a happy ending where you f***ing come out the other end happy and healthy and a good father and f***ing thriving in your career. And that is what I want for you brother."

Bam has had a rough few years.

He most recently revealed he was placed on life support after a nasty battle with Covid-19.

On Steve-O's Wild Ride! podcast, the 43-year-old explained that he was at a party when he suddenly took a turn for the worse.

He recalled: "I basically was pronounced dead on Elvis' birthday December 8th, did not know that I had like gnarly Covid, my body was shutting down and I went into four seizures."

Bam said the seizures lasted between 10 and 20 minutes and that he almost bit his tongue off.

"I bit my tongue so hard it was like nearly falling off, it got so swollen and puffy it wouldn't fit in my mouth and I was drinking the infected blood which gave me pneumonia as well," he said.

He's also battled some serious inner demons related to drug and alcohol addiction as well as mental health issues.

The 43-year-old underwent rehabilitation for his vices and it appears he's getting his life back together.

But it looks like Steve-O wants to give him even more support by taking him on the road with him, which is absolutely awesome.
