After too long living life the right way up, Stranger Things is finally back on Netflix with its fourth series, bringing with it 80s fashion, music and iconic haircuts.
From Will's bowl cut to Nancy's curls there are a lot of strong styles depicted in the show, but one of the most sought after – at least by Dustin – is Steve's dishevelled and voluminous do.

The hairstyle might as well be given its own credit given how much people talk about it, with one Twitter user admitting they 'don't remember a single thing about Stranger Things, not a single story line or detail at all other than Steve’s hair'.
Keery's character did offer some advice to Dustin in the show about how he could achieve such 'perfect' locks, telling him the key was 'Faberge Organics'.
"Use the shampoo and the conditioner, and when the hair is damp – it’s not wet, OK? When it’s damp – do four puffs of the Farrah Fawcett spray," he explained, but in real life Keery has his own way of maintaining his now-infamous hair.

During a 2021 interview with GQ, it became apparent Keery does not use Faberge Organics shampoo and conditioner – in fact, he doesn't use any shampoo or conditioner at all.
The actor doesn't wash his hair, and says he rarely even touches it, putting no effort into the stylish look many may work hard to achieve. Keery apparently doesn't get haircuts in the way most people get haircuts – instead they just happen to him, the interview revealed, most likely through the styling he undergoes before stepping in front of the cameras.
Though going without shampoo and conditioner obviously works for Keery, some Stranger Things fans have been left disturbed by the revelation after it was re-posted online this week.
Some commenters described the habit as 'gross' and argued he should wash his hair at least once a week, with others responding to say they could 'tell' Keery didn't use the cleaning products.

Shampoo or not, though, many fans of Keery's hair are unlikely to be put off by the news, with many continuing to draw attention to his impressive locks following the release of the most recent Stranger Things series on 27 May.
"Today is a day to binge Stranger Things and swoon at Steve's hair," one Netflix user wrote, while another commented: "JOE KEERY’S HAIR IS A NATIONAL TREASURE."
With nine new episodes released in the fourth series, you can check out Keery's hair for yourself on Netflix now.
