The fourth season of Stranger Things is just around the corner and fans have been shocked to discover just how long some of the episodes are.
Split into two parts with a first batch of seven episodes coming later this month, followed by two more later in the year, some of the latest instalments in Stranger Things will be more like movies than TV episodes.

Netflix has confirmed that there is going to be around 13 hours of content in the fourth season of the show, with the last two episodes clocking in at about four hours of runtime combined.
Episode seven, the last in the first volume of episodes due to release for the season, will take up an hour and 38 minutes of your time to get through.
When Stranger Things returns in July with two more episodes, it'll take you an hour and 25 minutes to get through the first one, while the season finale runs for a whopping two-and-a-half hours.
And as for the first six episodes, they'll also be clocking in long runtimes to make the fourth season the biggest in the show's history.

Fans of Stranger Things have been voicing their views on the long episode runtimes and some have been horrified to discover they are in for some ridiculously long episodes.
Gavia Baker-Whitelaw of DailyDot said it was 'hard to keep tension going for a blockbuster-length runtime' when most horror movies are quite short themselves, worrying that multiple feature-length episodes 'actively make the show sound less fun to watch'.
Another wrote: "Stranger Things hasn’t been actually good for 2 seasons so they’re pushing it with these movie length episodes".

Someone else added: "I don't think I care enough about Stranger Things to sit through multiple movie length episodes."
Others defended the long runtimes, however, with one writing: 'I get why people are complaining about the STRANGER THINGS episode runtime, but you're all acting as if you don't binge-watch four-plus hours worth of episodes of The Office in a day.'
The hit Netflix show will pick up six months after the Battle of Starcourt, where our young heroes seemingly defeated the Mind Flayer for good, as they prepare to face new villain Vecna.
