The heart-warming new show Surviving Summer follows the life of Brooklyn teen, Summer Torress (Sky Katz), who is sent to live with her aunt in a secluded part of Australia.
With its relaxed plot and stunning scenery, Surviving Summer has made everyone jealous of the main character’s ideal life of surfing on the sunny beaches of Australia.
Now fans have had plenty of time to finish the first instalment of the show, the question on everybody's mind is will there be another season of the refreshing series, and if so when will it come out?
Will There Be A Season 2 Of Surviving Summer?
Netflix hasn't announced anything about a second season of Surviving Summer. Nevertheless, since the first season was only released this month, that certainly doesn't mean to say there won't be a second. We reckon if Netflix does release another instalment it will be sometime next summer, to keep with the theme of the title.
What Will Happen In Season 2?
Season one shows Summer's love for her new home flourish (despite her original reluctance). We see her develop a passion for surfing, and eventually fall in love with her new boyfriend Ari Gibson (Kai Lewins).

We haven't heard anything about the plot for another season but Surviving Summer star Sky Katz told The Express that "Summer finally feels… something feels right for once in her life. She's really grateful to have been shown the direction she can go in."
The fact that season 1 ends on a cliff hanger is itself a teaser for another season of Surviving Summer, as we see the protagonist walk through the airport glancing at the pictures she has of her new found friends. When asked about the possibility of another season Sky replied "listen, I hope so" and we are hopeful too.
Who Will Be In The Cast Of Season 2?
Unless something detrimental happens off-camera regarding the cast members, there is no reason we wouldn’t see the main cast return for a season 2 of Surviving Summer, that would be:

• Sky Katz as Summer
• Kai Lewins as Ari Gibson
• Lilliana Bowrey as Poppy Tetanui
• Joao Gabriel Marinho as Marlon Sousa

• Savannah La Rain as Bodhi Johnson
We don’t know anything about any new cast members, but it is not unreasonable to expect some new characters to come to life on our screens, if Netflix decides to renew the feel good TV show.
