Sydney Sweeny’s love-life has often been private thanks to the horrendous Twitter bullying The Handmaid’s Tale actress has been subjected to in the past. But with the second season of Sweeney’s popular series Euphoria being recently released on HBO, fans are eager to find out who the actress is dating.
The new season release on 9/10 January (depending on where you are in the world) marks an even more dark, mature storyline for Euphoria - one which Sweeny’s co-star Zendaya has warned her fans about.
The drama shares a group of teenagers in high school who navigate difficult issues like toxic relationships, drug addiction, sexuality and mental health illness.
The next season is expected to cover Rue and Jule’s on-again, off-again relationship after that painstaking cliffhanger at the end of the HBO first series and the two special episodes, which were released in late 2020 and early 2021.
At just age 24, Sweeny is already a well-accomplished actress, appearing in the Netflix series Everything Sucks! And the HBO miniseries Sharp Objects.
Who is Sydney Sweeney’s boyfriend?
As of 2022, it’s reported that Sydney Sweeny’s boyfriend is Jonathan Davino, a Chicago-based restaurant-owner and next in line to the popular pizza company Pompei, Chicago. The pair have reportedly been dating since 2018, but Sweeney and Davino were first spotted getting cozy together during a beach day in Hawaii in 2020.
Although the actress opts not to share photos of her love-life on social media, it seems the lovebirds are still going strong.
Davino also keeps his personal life private, avoiding social media entirely. According to the company website, Pompei was founded and established by Luigi Davino in 1909, becoming “one of Chicago’s oldest and most beloved Italian eateries”.
Jonathan also owns Chicago’s Mista Pizza and Pompei Xpress, which he later renamed to Davino’s Xpress.
