A second season of the Logie nominated series The Tourist has been confirmed.
The BBC’s six-part thriller enthralled audiences around the world and focused on the story of a man who wakes up in the Australian outback suffering from amnesia after a car accident.

The Man, played by Jamie Dornan, struggles to piece together his unknown past and his journey to finding out his identity takes him down an unexpected path.
Season 1’s open-ended finale left many viewers confused and wanting more, with many questions left to be answered by the upcoming second season.
When is Season 2 of The Tourist coming out?
Whilst the BBC has confirmed a second season will be coming, there is yet to be any official release date.

However, what we do know is that Season 1 screenwriters Jack and Harry Williams will be returning to pen six new hour-long episodes, bringing their Emmy award winning talents to the table to produce another blockbuster season.
Speaking to Radio Times, Jamie Dornan recently revealed that the show was initially intended as a limited series, but given the show's massive worldwide popularity (it reached 12 million viewers in 30 days), it’s no surprise there’s demand for more.

50 Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan headlines The Tourist’s cast and is expected to return in his role as in the titular role, whose story was left on a major cliffhanger at the end of Season 1.

Also expected to return alongside Dornan is Australian actress Danielle Macdonald, best known for her role as Willowdean Dickson in the hit Netflix film Dumplin’.

The Tourist has received rave reviews by critics and currently holding a 97 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Guardian praised the series, gave it a 5-star review and highlighted Dornan’s 'high-intensity' performance.

Fans alike have taken to Twitter to commend the show and Dornan’s acting, and have cried out for a second season.
