The Weeknd fans baffled over how his speaking voice sounds

It has shocked his fans.

Fans of The Weeknd cannot believe how the Canadian singer speaks, after a clip of him meeting a fan emerged on social media. Check it out:

A recent video shows the man known as The Weeknd, real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, speaking softly in a conversation with a fan, asking him where he had travelled from for the show.

"Been a fan of that man since 2012 and I’ve never heard him actually talk till today," one commenter wrote.

Another added: “Okay but why isn’t he depressed…?”

I'm sure The Weeknd will not care too much about how he speaks after what has been a stellar money-making career to date.

The 32-year-old is worth an astonishing $200 million, and collected three Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards, 19 Billboard Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, 15 Juno Awards, and an Academy Award nomination.

He also runs his own record label called XO, a subsidiary of Republic Records. His latest album is his fifth studio album and included Lil Wayne and Tyler, the Creator, along with Jim Carrey.

Carrey’s appearance on the album sparked a bit of a frenzy, as the Bruce Almighty actor played a radio host on several of the tracks.

Speaking about his participation, Carrey said: "I listened to Dawn FM with my good friend Abel @theweeknd last night. It was deep and elegant and it danced me around the room. I’m thrilled to play a part in his symphony."

Abel then replied: "Thank you for being a part of this.

"It’s kismet. Full circle."

Aside from his music, there has also been plenty of speculation regarding his love life after dating Bella Hadid on and off for a number of years.

He has also been romantically linked with Angelina Jolie, after the duo went on a number of dinner dates together last year.

Fans believe they had proved the duo were dating from the lyrics to the track 'Here We Go... Again’, which has suggestive mentions of his relationship with a ‘movie star’.

The Weeknd is currently on the first leg of the After Hours Til Dawn Tour with Kaytranada, Snoh aalegra and Mike Dean for the 19 dates in the US and Canada.
