Doctor gives surprising answer to what average penis size is

Dr Jen Caudle is well-known for sharing her knowledge and helpful tips on health and well-being on TikTok.

The Philadelphia-based doctor has one particularly famous video, that was posted in August 2023, where she answered one of the most asked questions by the general public.

The video has recently had a resurgence in popularity, with a current view-count of over 1.4 million as her answer left users in shock.

In the TikTok, Dr Caudle's aim was to talk down the expectations and pressures that men may feel when it comes to their size, as she claims the average penis length is actually a lot different to what many might expect.

Dr Caudle highlighted the importance of talking about the subject, which can make people feel uneasy or sometimes, uncomfortable.

She also wanted to get rid of any 'societal pressure' that may be felt by people who think that they have to be or look 'a certain way'.

Dr Caudle explained why she was posting the video, saying: "One reason is, I think most people think the average penis size is a lot longer and larger than it actually is.

"Number two, there's a lot of societal pressure to be a certain way, this goes for both men and women, and I'm not a fan of it.

"The bigger message here is to know that you're fine just the way you are, that's the most important message that I'm trying to give with this video."

She also added that the average length of a penis was 'actually shorter than a lot of people would imagine'.

Dr Caudle followed this up by saying that size doesn't necessarily correlate with pleasure, for those who might be worried they might not be able to perform in the bedroom due to their size.

According to the medical expert, who boasts a TikTok following of over 164k, the 'average size of a flaccid penis is 3.61 inches'.

She also claimed: "The average size of an erect penis is 5.17 inches."

Many viewers found this information to be a positive, with several jokes in the comments section.

One quipped: "Oooooooooooooooooohhh were half way there."

Another said: "Finally I’m above average on something."

A different user echoed the doctor's words, commenting: "A bit like money, what matters is what you do with it!! lol."
