Joey Swoll has called out a video from a gym-goer who branded someone else a 'creep' because they got onto the next treadmill over.
In the video, which had the text 'this be SO irritating', the filmer was in a relatively empty gym and complaining about someone using the treadmill right beside them.
"Dog, it's really all these, all these treadmills and you want to be right here," they said as the camera panned across a room of empty treadmills and went back to the next one over which had a woman using it.

"Why, why do you choose this one out of all of these? You want to be right here, like, for real? For real?
"All of these, all these treadmills and you want to be right there. That's just so weird. For real, f**king up my vibe."
Swoll, the self-titled 'CEO of Gym Positivity' called this video out and provided his own response to it, and it's safe to say he wasn't a huge fan.

Posting his response on his social media channels he said: "You really think it's ok to treat someone this way, why?
"Because they decide to use the treadmill that's right next to you? She doesn't talk to you, she doesn't look at you and even when you address her and disrespect her she still doesn't talk to or even care that you're there.
"Then you say in the caption that she's 'a creep' and you didn't 'feel safe', trying to make yourself out to be a victim, which you're not.
"And if you really didn't feel safe you would just go use another treadmill. But you know what's really creepy? Filming someone without their consent to post on social media to shame them.

"And why did she use that treadmill? Oh I don't know, maybe because she wants to watch what's on the TV right above it. Regardless, you have no right to tell her or anyone what they can or can't use at the gym.
"She pays the same gym membership that you pay, and if you can't handle that buy a treadmill and do it at home. You need to do better, mind your own business."
This caused a bit of a split in Swoll's comments, as many agreed with him that filming people in the gym without their consent was flat out wrong and trying to shame them was bad.

Followers pointed out that 'people have their preferred treadmills' and have the right to choose whichever available machine they want.
They also praised the woman in the video for 'not giving this dude any attention' and not responding to someone filming her and calling her out well within earshot.
However, some others said they could see the original point and argued that it was 'weird to use the treadmill right next to you when everything else is available'.
Another claimed that 'a one machine space is the unwritten rule' at times like this, but several others disagreed.
