Man decides to confront ‘concerned’ neighbours after bizarre note left on his parked car

Content creator Dan Lawrence was stunned to find the letter on his car

A man has took it upon himself to confront his neighbours who decided to leave a bizarre note on his parked car.

Content creator Dan Lawrence (@danlawrence) shared a video of his reaction to returning to his vehicle after a few days to find a handwritten note on his windshield.

Taking to his TikTok channel with almost one million followers, he said: "When I was 18, did I get notes on my car?

"Yeah, because I parked in silly places. Of course I did. I'm 40, nearly 40, late 30s, if you want to.

"And I've got a note on my car. I parked in a sensible place.

"I parked in a nice part of town because my car is my pride and joy.

"I worked really, really hard to get back on my feet and to try and get myself a car.

"But it's just a normal road. It's a little, just a normal road, not even a cul-de-sac."

He then shared the strange note from his neighbours, which read: "We are concerned about cars left outside our house for so long.

"Please call at number two to explain your plans or reason for parking.

"If we know you, we can help. Thank you."

"I've just popped off to Scotland and certainly I don't need to let you know my plans."

"Here's some advice," he continued. "Don't put notes on cars, especially if you've got your own driveway that holds about four cars.

"You don't need to worry about it. You don't need to worry about it.

"I'm not obstructing anyone. I've paid my road tax.

"If you pay your car tax, park where you want. Don't worry about what other people think.

"You can park where you want as long as you're not obstructing a driveway.

"I don't know why people take it upon themselves to decide they own part of the road."

He then shared a clip of him knocking on his neighbour's door to find out what the issue was.

The woman next door then revealed that she'd left the note because she was 'concerned' that the car was left there for a considerable amount of time.

She was also supposedly worried that the vehicle could have belonged to a 'car dealer'.

Dan then concluded: "She's clearly just very nosy," adding that he'll continue to park there then when he travels as 'at least' he knows that she will 'keep an eye' on his car.
