Women approach man asking if he wants to date them and have no idea he’s famous British actor

They realised he was a famous actor, but didn't know what he was in

Women who make TikTok videos where they go up to people and ask whether they'd rather date them or get $100 ended up not realising one of the people they asked was a famous actor.

TikToker Ruby Hexx and her friend Ivy Fox were approaching people to ask if they'd prefer a date with the two women or money.

In some of Ruby's other videos she gets told that the $100 is the preferable option pretty quickly, and there's one where they speak to an Irishman with a can of Stella who invents an entire philosophy on his way to an answer, but this time they'd found a bona fide celebrity.

However, neither of the women clocked that they were chatting to a British actor, otherwise known as the kid from Love Actually, Jojen Reed from Game of Thrones and that guy in the cowboy hat in The Queen's Gambit.

In the video, the two girls run up to none other than Thomas Brodie-Sangster on the street with a microphone and ambush him with the question: "Would you rather $100 or a date with us two."

Thomas, 34, turns around to look at the girls and pauses to think about what he's just been asked.

To be fair, this guy was probably expecting them to ask for a selfie or an autograph - not a three-way date.

"Oh, I'm in a relationship, so I'd take the $100, no offence!" he laughs.

As the girls defeatedly walk away, giggling at his reply, he calls after them: "But I'm also English so dollars are no use to me. So I'd have neither."

Bargaining with Thomas, one of the girls suggests: "£90?"

"All right, 90 quid then," Thomas agrees.

It's only at this point that one of the girls realises she sort of recognises him.

"Just out of interest, are you an actor?" she asks, before quizzing the Queen's Gambit star on whether he was one of the kids from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

Thomas, polite as you like, tells them: "No. I went to the premiere but I wasn't in it."

It's here they parted ways, and the video's comments were full of people declaring they knew exactly who he was.

"BRO JUST CASUALLY RAN INTO THOMAS BRODIE SANGSTER," was the general vibe among the comments, as was a forgetfulness that his surname ought to by hyphenated.

A few others pointed out that we really ought to be remembering his role as the lesser-spoken green-haired brother from Phineas and Ferb.

Thomas has since gotten engaged to Elon Musk’s ex, actor Talulah Riley.
