Finding out the latest hack that has existed on your car since you bought it years ago is enough to blow any driver's mind.

Well, that's exactly what has happened to one TikTok user who thought she'd try out a trend for herself on her motor she's owned for a good while.

And the result left her wide-eyed and open-mouthed.

Car hacks come in all shapes and sizes - including warnings when it comes to topping up at the petrol or diesel pump.

The same goes for your car insurance and making sure you'd not accidentally invalidating it; which is very easily done.

Other tips and tricks can help you when it comes to parking up your car, with one little piece of advice being the difference between being in the bay's white lines and scraping the car next to you.

One other hack that has started to go viral on TikTok concerns cooling your car down on a warm sunny day.

And it's leaving people shocked, given they didn't know their cars could do it so easily.

It concerns quickly cooling the car down by rolling down your windows simultaneously - and all while you're not in the car.

TikTok user Emma (@emmarosejean1) recently tried the hack, with more than two million people watching it in the first five days of the video going live on the social media platform.

The trick is all to do with the key fob that you use to lock and unlock your car doors.

"I am sitting in my car watching TikTok, as one does, and I came across a video that was someone saying that, if you hit your unlock button on your car twice and then hold it down, it’ll roll down all of your windows," Emma says.

"I’m fascinated by stupid s**t like this. And everyone in the comments with different car brands was saying it works, so I’m gonna get out and try it."

Footage then moves to Emma getting out of her car from where she was filming to try out the method.

After hitting the unlock button twice on her keys, all four windows on her five door motor roll down to the bottom.

Completely shocked at it working, Emma says: "That might be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. I need to read my car’s manual."

It's not foolproof and isn't featured on every car - one comment said they had no luck with their Honda Civic - but plenty of people have taken to TikTok to voice their equal shock at the feature.

"WHAT OTHER SECRETS ARE THEY KEEPING FROM US," one said.

Another wrote: "If you have a sunroof, that'll open too. I have a 2019 Honda CRV."

And a third said they had success with this when manually unlocking their car, posting: "This also works with the key. If you unlock your car manually on the driver's side by turning the key twice and holding it the second time it will also down your windows."

Others claimed that it also works on their car when it comes to winding your windows up, but instead of clicking the unlock button on your car you do the same method with the lock option.
