That elusive dream of going on a game show and actually winning the prize money became a genuine reality for Daniel O'Halloran.
The Wirral-based contestant, 24, walked away with a whopping £99,000 after his mum signed him up for The 1% Club.

With 15 increasingly difficult questions to get through, the aim is to correctly answer the last winning question that only one percent of the nation supposedly know the answer to.
If they get it right, there's a whopping £100,000 cash prize up for grabs.
Daniel's mum signed him up, as the family happen to be big fans of the show.

And in 2022, he agreed to giving it a try and headed to Manchester to film.
"I was quite confident in getting to the latter stages of the show, but I never in my wildest dreams imagined taking home that much money. I thought if I got to £10,000 with no money to fall back on, I'd take the £10,000 and wouldn't gamble," he told the Liverpool Echo.
But instead of playing it safe with £10,000, he risked it all and went for the big £99,000 question.
"If you list all the numbers from 1 to 100 in order, 100 would be the 100th number but what would be the 100th digit?" the question read.

After correctly answering 'five', Daniel recalled: "I lost control of my body. I was running around celebrating on stage in total shock. I never thought I'd be standing there on the show, let alone winning it."
Incredibly, Daniel waited for the show to air on TV in 2023 before announcing the news so he could share the moment together with his mum.
He said: "It was very difficult, there were some moments I nearly blurted it out or my family would ask me and I couldn't keep the smile on my face.

"I only told my grandma and a few friends.
"When they were watching it, they couldn't believe I'd done it. It was the best thing to see.
"They were in total shock - they said some things you probably couldn't print in the paper! They couldn't believe I'd kept it secret."

On how he plans on spending the money, Daniel said: "I've got to be sensible, maybe look towards the house, pay the mortgage off. But I've got to enjoy it as well. I can't take this for granted."
