People mindblown over ‘weirdest TV interview ever’ where identical twins speak in sync

The Powers sisters from Australia have an uncanny ability

Identical twins Bridgette and Paula Powers ironically appear to have superpowers.

Interviewed by 7News Queensland on Monday (April 21) about their mother's heart-pounding encounter with an armed carjacker, the Australian sisters casually spoke in flawless synchronicity with one another, which has blown many minds on social media.

Known as the 'Twinnies', the Powers' wore matching blue rabbit outfits for the Easter occasion and completed each other's sentences for the camera.

Introducing the twins, an Aussie broadcaster primed viewers for their unique eyewitness testimony with: "Two sisters have told of how their mother and a man raced to help when the carjacked SUV rolled on Steve Irwin Way, only to find the gun-wielding car thief emerging from the wreck."

The blonde duo, who together produced the sound of a malfunctioning robot, went on to reveal of the ordeal: "One guy, he was up there with our mum. And he went up there, he was coming back down towards us and he goes 'Run, he's got a gun'.' And our heart started to pound. And I said, 'Oh, mum, where's mum?' And poor mum was stuck up there."

They then described how their parent went up to the vehicle, only to discover the criminal holding a gun.

"She goes, ‘Are you alright?’ Because he had blood all over his face," the Powers sisters continued. "She goes, ‘I’m here to help'. Mum was distracting him to make him look the other way and he looked the other way and mum ran into the bush behind the fence and the guy goes, 'I'll find you and I'll shoot you.'"

The viral clip of the 7News interview has now been viewed on X more than three million times.

The reported incident unfolded in Queensland at approximately 12.48pm local time, which the pair witnessed first hand.

A 22-year-old woman is said to have passed away from injuries sustained in the crash, while a man was shot.

The perpetrator, a 41-year-old Tewantin male, has since been charged with 15 criminal offences.

"This is freaking amazing! I would love to see a brain wave study of what's going on in their respective auditory cortexes when they speak," wrote a social media user.

"Like I wonder if each twin internally processes the other's voice as her own."

The Powers twins previously made waves on Good Morning Britain nine years ago, when they broke Piers Morgan's brain with their fluid cerebral connection.

Morgan went on to label it 'one of the greatest interviews I've ever conducted in my life.'
