Band of Brothers is not only one of the greatest miniseries ever made but it also has one of the most start-studded casts in TV history.
The 2001 series, created by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, was based on the 1992 book of the same name by Stephen A. Ambrose.

As far as the story goes, Band of Brothers follows a close group of paratroopers of the US Army's 101st Airborne Division, and documents their journey spanning from their early days of training to the end of WWII in 1945.
"This landmark ten-part miniseries based on Stephen E. Ambrose's best-seller recounts the remarkable achievements of an elite team of US paratroopers whose World War II exploits are as incredible as they are true," the HBO synopsis reads.
At the time of writing, the Emmy-winning series has a whopping 97 percent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, with the average audience score coming in at 96 percent.

Taking to Reddit, one person asked fans of the show if Band of Brothers had assembled the best cast of all time.
One viewer thought: "They were all unknowns at the time. Sure, they all ended up huge stars but they weren't at the time.
"The shows Taxi, West Wing, 30 Rock and News Radio all had casts filled with established people."
To which, someone replied: "David Schwimmer was definitely a star by 2000.

"Ron Livingston was in Office Space the year before.
"I would say in general you are correct."
One user also argued: "I don't know if I'd consider recognisable names as a measurement of best cast. I do think the cast is amazing, but not because of Tom Hardy or Michael Fassbender or Simon Pegg, but because the core group is so incredible. Winters, Nixon, Lipton, Doc, Liebgott, Buck, etc. Not all of them are recognisable names in acting now, but they did a fantastic job."

While another agreed: "While some already had many credits, and others were soon to find recognition for other roles, the existing and emerging talent cannot be ignored."
